Marilena Paraskeva is the Head of the Funding Programmes Department of Research and Innovation Foundation, the national funding agency for research, technological development and innovation in Cyprus.
She has more than 15 years of managerial experience spanning from the design, evaluation and monitoring of national research programme to the support of local stakeholders in their participation in European funding programmes and initiatives for SMEs. She has served as member of various national and international R&I-related committees including as Governing Board member of Joint Programming Initiatives (JPIs) and European Partnerships.
She holds a BEng in Civil Engineering and Environmental Management from UMIST University of Technology in Manchester (UK) and an MSc in Soil Mechanics and Engineering Seismology from Imperial College of London (UK).
