Dr Panayiotis C. Andreou is a Professor of Finance at the Cyprus University of Technology and one of the most prominent voices in Cyprus on financial literacy and financial wellbeing. He is a founding member and the President of the Financial Wellbeing Institute and currently serves as an Expert on the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre project on Evidence-Informed Policy Making 2.0. His research spans corporate finance, behavioral finance, green finance, and financial markets, with a special focus on household financial decision-making. Since 2016, he has led numerous surveys and studies on financial literacy with significant societal impact, and since 2017 he has collaborated closely with the Central Bank of Cyprus, currently serving as Scientific Advisor to the Cyprus Committee on Financial Literacy and Education. He is also the creator and host of Money Doctor on YouTube, a series aimed at bringing financial literacy closer to everyday life for families, young people, and children.
