Dr. Petros S. Rodotheou is a medical doctor with extensive experience in emergency medicine, primary care, and public health services. He currently serves at the Ministry of Health (since 2024) and previously worked in the Accident & Emergency Department at Nicosia General Hospital (2017–2024), as well as a General Practitioner in both urban and rural health centers across Cyprus. He holds a PhD in Plastic Regenerative & Reconstructive Surgery from Tokyo Medical & Dental University, where he specialized in bioengineering of skin, peripheral nerves, and soft tissue, supported by a MEXT Government of Japan scholarship. His academic background also includes a Medical Degree (MD) from Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University.
Dr. Rodotheou has completed advanced certifications including Advanced Life Support (ALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and training in substance abuse prevention. His clinical experience spans neurology, emergency care, and preventive medicine, with hands-on expertise in diagnostic procedures, minor surgical interventions, and patient management. He is fluent in Greek, Russian, and English, with good knowledge of German and Japanese, and possesses strong computer skills. He has also been actively involved in volunteer work with organizations supporting cancer patients and addiction prevention.
